Do you prioritize your self-care, growth, and personal development? Discover how to keep a commitment to yourself with a self-care practice.
Word of the Week: Commitment
Be dedicated to whatever you do. Commit to your soul’s work to help see it through.
What are your current commitments?
If you listed work, family and household responsibilities, you join the millions of other people who have similar responsibilities. It's easy to make commitments to our jobs, family members and friends, but when it comes to committing to ourselves, it just doesn't happen sometimes.
Where does your own self-care and personal growth and development fall on your list of commitments? Do they even get a spot?
If not, here are three ways to add them to your list and commit to them.
Name one thing you've been wanting to commit to for yourself but haven't gotten around to yet. It can be anything from writing one page a day for a book you want to publish to increasing your hydration by drinking one extra glass of water a day.
Practice this commitment every day for a month. Make tweaks along the way as needed, but commit to a daily practice.
Keep yourself accountable by recording your progress in a journal or telling someone close to you about your commitment.
