Encourage Self-Care by Practicing It

Boost yourself and give others a boost with this Word of the Week.

Word of the Week: Encourage

Motivate people to take action. Help them find inner satisfaction.

"Encourage" is such a friendly word. It inspires me to want to do better for myself and for others, too.

I find encouragement all around me—through my work and the inspirational books I read; a conversation with my husband; a sign from the universe.

Encouragement is also found within—through my meditation, yoga practice and daily journaling. I am encouraged by my self-care practices, which help me feel energized and vibrant.

Sometimes a little dose of encouragement is all I need to shift my perspective, which has the power to change my decisions and my life.

What encourages you? How do you encourage others?
