How to Be Open to New Possibilities

National Renewal Day reminds us that when we pay attention to self-care, it opens our hearts and minds to new ways of living and being.

May 4 is National Renewal Day—a reminder that we can rejuvenate ourselves with a fresh perspective or by beginning something new.


So much of life is lived without a lot of clarity. It’s up to us to remain open to new ideas. Expand your mind and you’ll expand your life.


What’s one thing I’m open to trying? Surfing. I’ve never even been on a surfboard, and I don’t live near an ocean, yet there’s something so appealing about riding the waves of change—literally and figuratively.


I know I’ll find a way. But first, I’ll try Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga.
