Mantra to Help You Say What You Need

Updated: Sep 27, 2022

Start your week on a motivational note with this mantra for working moms, and watch the video on the Stand Up for Your Self-Care YouTube Channel.

Is there something you’ve always wanted to share with the world but haven’t yet said because of fear of what others might think?

Whatever it is, someone somewhere out there needs to hear it. Trust this. Trust that what you have to say can help someone else.

Before I wrote my first book, 108 Yoga and Self-Care Practices for Busy Mamas, I knew I had to share my experiences of being a new mom in a high-speed world full of distractions and to-do's. How can anyone find a slice of peace in all of this busyness and chaos? It was just too wild to not share how much pressure is placed on working moms and how much pressures we place on ourselves.

Once I wrote about my experiences, it was cathartic and liberating.

Start by writing what you have to say in a journal. Then tell someone about it. Then tell more people. The more you say, the bigger it becomes. And your message becomes even more powerful. Word of mouth is powerful.

This video is part of a video series on my Stand Up for Your Self-Care YouTube Channel, which includes weekly mantras for everyday moms. Here, you’ll get 52 powerful, motivational mantras for Millennial working moms (one for each week of the year). These mantras are little seeds of affirmations that represent things we all think about and experiences we all share, to carry us through each week of the year.

This week's mantra: I have something to say.

Practice It: Empower Others to Say What They Need to Say, Too
