How to Tell When You Need a Break

Press “pause” for self-care on National Relaxation Day. Instead of the fast-paced life we’re all used to, slow down to savor it all.


Green means go, go, go. Seems like that’s how we’re all programmed these days, right?


When you see the word “relax,” what do you think of?


Some words that come to mind for me are self-care, yoga, reading, journaling, slow down, unwind, take your time.

There is a day dedicated to relaxation. It's August 15—National Relaxation Day. It's a day to remind us to hit the “pause” button.


What happens when we relax and press “pause” on the constant striving and accomplishing, even for a little bit?


Trust yourself that you know when to stop and when to rest. And don’t stop with this day. Build relaxation time into your schedule every day.
