Word of the Week: Joy

Find your bliss and then your stride. Live your life, spark joy and pride.


When do you experience joy?


As Marie Kondo would ask: "Does this spark joy?" This is a practice you can do not only with items in your home, but also to develop greater awareness of what brings you joy in everyday life.


Depending on your intention, even a routine trip to the grocery store could be a joyful experience. If you walk into the store excited to buy items for a new recipe, this joy could change your entire outlook.


The same joy you generate from a common task can transcend into everything else you do. Even routines can be joyful.


This week, think about one habit you do every day, such as brushing your teeth, and see if you can bring more joy to it. Can you find the same joy in brushing your teeth as you do when listening to your favorite song?
