You are worthy of all the self-care you need to nourish yourself. Learn why with this Word of the Week.
Word of the Week: Worthy
Check your heart and your mood. Know that you are valued.
For many of us, we live our lives thinking we can only get a treat or reward if we earn it for a goal we achieve or something good we do. That's why some of us push ourselves beyond our limits to meet a deadline, work too late or prioritize other people or other things. All this time, our own mental health and well-being have been needing our attention, too.
Enter the word "worthy." As a young woman, I inherited the belief that I had to prove my worth, not just to others but to myself over and over again. I invite you to join me in being kinder to ourselves by taking our time, stopping when we need rest and nourishing our minds, bodies and souls with a rejuvenating daily routine.
Here's a mantra to get started: "I am worthy."
You are worthy of:...
A 10-minute break
A 30-minute workout
A day of self-care
A weekend of rest
However long it takes to take care of you
