How Self-Care Can Help You Feel Better
Updated: Sep 26, 2022
Develop more awareness of when you feel your best with this simple self-care tip and journaling prompt.

When you’re pregnant, all you want for your little one is for them to be healthy and happy.
What about your own mom and how they wanted those things for you, too?
Reflection moment: When have you felt your best in mind, body and spirit? What were you doing? Where were you going? Why was this time in your life different than other times?
Pay attention to who you're with and what you're doing the next time you feel good.
I’ve found that these are the things I’m doing when I feel my best:
Hugging my kids and husband
Laughing
Practicing yoga
Exercising
Meditating
Reading
Being outside
Cooking something healthy and then eating it
Taking a bath
Wearing a new, flattering outfit
This, of course, is all related to self-care. Self-care helps me feel my best.
Now it’s your turn.
It’s easy to forget how to feel good and alive when you’re going through the motions of life. Come back to yourself with this self-care tip.

Practice It: Journal About Feeling Your Best
Write about how feeling your best feels using your five senses. Go through each sense and describe what you notice. This practice can help you become more aware that when you feel your best, this is how it feels.
