Happy Birthday, 108 Yoga and Self-Care Practices for Busy Mamas!

On February 1, 2020, 108 Yoga and Self-Care Practices for Busy Mamas turns 1.


I am so incredibly grateful I carved out time every night for three months after the kids were in bed to write it. I am grateful for my powerful yoga and meditation practice during those months to give me the courage to write it. I am grateful for the readers who took the time to learn about self-care in depth, and I am grateful to those who have yet to read it.


The birth of my book was a result of my intention to inspire other busy moms to live well by prioritizing self-care. My own experiences as a full-time working mom, yoga teacher and writer merged together to bring this book to life and into your hands.


Over the last year, I drove hundreds of miles with my book. It has come with me to bookstores, fitness centers and libraries when I’ve led Yoga and Self-Care Practices for Busy People workshops. I’ve taken it into yoga classes to share practices from it with my students. My book has connected me with people I would not have otherwise met if I didn’t write it.


I am proud of my book for receiving recognition in 2019:

As with babies, books need lots of nurturing attention, care and love. And to be able to share your creations with the world—children and books—is an incredible privilege.


Thank you, book. Thank you for being part of my journey. It is an honor to be your author. You continue to teach me that the effort to make a difference, to inspire other busy moms to live well and lead the next generation to wellness, is worth it. I look forward to your second year of life and beyond.
