4-Minute Morning Self-Care Practice

Updated: Sep 24, 2022

Start your day with this 4-minute self-care practice, which includes the Gayatri Mantra and another yoga mantra.

What is a more lovely way to start your day than with song and music, especially when the sound is your own voice?

Mantras are soothing to more than the ears. They’re calming to the spirit and peaceful offerings to the heart.

Like singing lullabies to yourself, these two mantras can help you start your day in an auspicious way:

  • Atha Yoga-Anuśāsanam is Sanskrit (the language of yoga) from “now yoga begins.”

  • The Gayatri Mantra is a sacred offering honoring and giving gratitude to the sun and the universal life force energy it provides. I chanted this on repeat while pregnant with my first child to offer up my gratitude for creation and to help calm my new mama nerves and anxiety.

Are you a seeker of more inner wisdom, awareness and a connection to universal consciousness? Begin your day with these mantras.
