Yoga for Self-Care classes include a compilation of yoga and other self-care practices.

I am deeply passionate about both self-care and yoga, which is why I created Yoga for Self-Care classes — a unique approach that blends the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga with self-care practices you can take off the mat and into your daily life. These classes are designed to help you create a consistent self-care routine that fits your lifestyle while nurturing your mind, body and spirit.

Each Yoga for Self-Care class includes a combination of yoga asana (poses), breathwork and a short meditation. The flow of the class is intentionally crafted to guide you from movement to stillness, giving your body and mind the chance to release tension, reconnect and recharge.

Sometimes class ends with a journaling prompt, so you can continue your self-care journey into the evening. Writing about your experience helps you notice patterns, reflect on how you feel and reinforce the positive habits you’re building through your practice.

Why Yoga and Self-Care Go Hand-in-Hand

Yoga has long been known for its physical benefits, such as improving flexibility, building strength and increasing balance. But its true power lies in the way it can bring mindfulness and intentionality into your life. By pairing yoga with self-care, you can create a routine that supports your body and emotional well-being.

Self-care is more than an occasional indulgence. It’s about nurturing yourself consistently so you can show up fully in every aspect of your life. When combined with yoga, self-care becomes tangible: Each pose, each breath, each mindful movement reminds you to slow down, tune in and prioritize yourself.

What to Expect in a Yoga for Self-Care Class

  • Yoga asana (poses): Depending on the time of year and time of day, the yoga sequence may be gentle or energizing.

  • Breathwork: Breathing techniques help calm the nervous system, boost energy and cultivate focus.

  • Meditation: Short mindfulness exercises help center your mind and promote inner peace and calm.

Sometimes classes also include journaling prompts: to encourage you to thoughtfully reflect on how your body, mind and spirit respond to your practice, helping you carry your self-care off the mat.

Each class is crafted to leave you feeling more centered and empowered to integrate these practices into your daily routine.
